PAD 2012 - Day 10

The day drifts by, slowly
unfocused and lazy

I want April to be thirty days of beginnings

Tired of unrelenting sunsets
of visiting the moon just to be turned away at her door
I restlessly dream of more sunrises.

Pollination

Intuitively dandelions burst forth
a million wishes floating; dreams of chaos.

Weeds have already championed Darwin. Proliferate unchecked,
unbalanced equations of what equals beauty.

Blind your eyes of the beholder; you would settle for what is common. Mudane
in your ability to hate the thorns, but love a rose.

NOV PAD 2010 - day 3

It's easier to get warmer than cooler
add another blanket
or two. Cuddle with a pillow
or five and burrow into the mattress. Hibernate.
When you awake the sun will be half passed midday
the season will be in full swing.

National Poetry Month - Day 1

papier-mache lion you roar in crumbling notes
un-fearsome
unfathomably you matchstick the roads you've already traveled,
trailblazing. You comet flame
burning an ideal long past it's lifetime. You burn at half-light
I burn on a daily basis, end to end
a furnace brimming with ashes.
